About the Photographer

Artist's Statement

I strive to communicate the beauty and grandeur of nature in my photography. My goal is to let the viewer not only see what I was seeing but to also feel what I was feeling when I pressed the shutter release.

I make every effort to make the print as exacting and realistic as possible. My selection of materials and tools, coupled with the techniques I have developed over many years, are all part of an integrated approach to producing only the highest quality prints that give the viewer the feeling of being there. You won't find a more beautifully printed and handsomely finished photographic print anywhere else.

Personal History

I became fascinated with photography in my early childhood when I would sit before a 35mm projector and view my father's underwater slides from his early SCUBA diving days. In grade school, started to experiment and learn the basics of photography with an Argus C3 35mm range finder camera borrowed from my father. Later, during college, I purchased my first 35mm SLR, a Nikon F3, and began to experiment with both portraits and landscape photography.

I received my Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and spent 20 years in the corporate world as a network systems engineering manager, and later as an executive responsible for field operations and consulting engineering. I was fortunate enough to participate in building some of the world's largest enterprise and carrier voice and data networks. But the long hours and the heavy travel schedule didn't leave much time for the pursuit of photography. So, after a long stint with one company, I was able to take some time off and attended a few landscape photography workshops. The trips to the outdoors and the time spent in nature's most beautiful scenery were all it took to get me hooked on a serious pursuit of photography.

We have all seen photographic prints sold in many locations. But I have always felt that I could do better. So I set out to do whatever it would take, no matter the cost or the difficulty, to produce the absolute finest quality prints possible with the current state-of-the-art processes and technologies.

After many years of experimentation with the printing process, I believe I've been able to achieve my goal of the highest quality prints possible. You can read about how I achieve such high quality here on this website. If you still have questions, please don't hesitate to contact me and we can discuss it further.
