Fine Art Print Pricing and Availability

Fine Art Print Pricing

Description

  • Original color transparency, color negative or digital photograph. (See individual image page for particulars)
  • Choice of Crystal Archive Photographic print or Ultrachrome Pigmented Ink print
  • Signed and numbered by Michael E. Fox
  • Mounted and matted with 4-ply or 8-ply archival museum board
  • Signed and numbered on the front of the print
  • Titled, numbered and dated on the verso (reverse side)
  • The number of prints is not limited, but the price does increase as certain thresholds are reached. With the advent of digital printing techniques, this type of tiered pricing model is now standard in the industry. The tiered pricing model protects the value for collectors who buy early in the edition without the artificial price inflation created by limited editions.

Notes on Tiered Print Pricing:

  • Max Image Size: Each print is individually cropped for best artistic effect, not to fit an arbitrary paper size. Some images may be more narrow or more wide. Pricing is based on the largest dimension because that is what determines the sizes of the mounting and matting materials to be used.
  • Pricing Tiers: Due to timing and demand, images may shift into subsequent tiers without notice. If this occurs, I will contact you and confirm the purchase price.

Notes on Framing Prices:

  • Glass is not recommended for any product that will be shipped via common carrier due to likelihood of breakage
  • Glass is not recommended for mat/frame sizes larger than 28" x 32" due to weight considerations
  • Unfortunately, Museum Acrylic is extremely expensive right now due to its recent entry into the market. I will monitor market pricing and adjust my own prices accordingly. However, most industry experts agree that the price is not likely to change significantly for 12 to 18 months.
  • Other framing styles and options are available - just call.

Availability

Not all prints are immediately available. Prints listed in the gallery section as completed images are readily available for final printing. Browse each gallery or check the List of Completed Images for quick access. Completed images are printed, mounted, and matted to order and can usually be ready to ship in about 2 weeks. Framing typically adds another week or two, depending on whether or not the frame and glazing you request is in stock at the framer. All other prints from "proof" images will take longer. Contact me to discuss estimated delivery dates.
